 Hi everyone, so today we gonna talk about how to read and write decsriptive text

Before we get into my practice, we need to know what is descriptive text

Descriptive text is a text that aims to explain, describe, or describe something. This thing can take the form of anything, be it animals, objects, locations, and so on.

Descriptive Text structure consists of two parts. The first part is Identification, and the second part is Description. Identification (Identification) contains the topic of what object will be discussed. While the description contains a description of an object regarding the details of the object such as the physical state of the object, its origin to other unique facts.

The characteristics possessed by descriptive text are that the text contains descriptions that focus on only one object. Usually the description is detailed. For example, Descriptive Text about animals. The text can contain various information about physical descriptions, food, habitat and origin, breeding, to unique facts related to these animals. Another characteristic of Descriptive Text is that the grammar tenses used are simple present tense.

Topic: the text is about the description of taj mahal

Target reader: People who might be interested in reading this text are tourists, local people, or Moslem people

Purpose: The purpose of writing each text is to identify taj mahal

Benefit: The benefit of reading this text is the readers will know more about taj mahal such as location, since when did the taj mahal stand,what taj mahal are made of, and know how the taj mahal look likes

Topic: the text is about the description of derawan island

Target reader: Tourists, local people, environmental lovers might be interested in reading this text.

Purpose: The purpose of writing each text is to identify derawan island

Benefit: The benefit of reading this text is the readers will know more about derawan such as location, the best time to visit, activities, how to go there, and know how beautiful derawan island look likes

the narrower cross-axial walkways, on the Timurid-Persian scheme of the

Parawalled in garden. The enclosure walls on the east and west have a pavilion 

at the centre.

emphasis of bilateral symmetry along a central axis on which the main

features are placed. The building material used is brick-in-lime mortar

complex are built of red sandstone in contrast to the marble tomb in the

centre. Both the buildings have a large platform over the terrace at their

front. Both the mosque and the guest house are the identical structures.

They have an oblong massive prayer hall consist of three vaulted bays

arranged in a row with central dominant portal. The frame of the portal

arches and the spandrels are veneered in white marble. The spandrels are

filled with flowery arabesques of stone intarsia and the arches bordered

with rope molding.

completed in 1648 AD, with the mosque, the guest house and the main 

gateway on the south, the outer courtyard and its cloisters were added 

subsequently and completed in 1653 AD. The existence of several 

historical and Qur’anic inscriptions in Arabic script have facilitated setting 

the chronology of Taj Mahal.
