NARRATIVE TEXT UH-8

Hai everyone ˙˚ʚ(´◡`)ɞ˚˙, welcome back to my blog. So today i have an exam about narrative text, let's check it out

before we get to my exam, i'm gonna give you guys a quick flashback about narrative text:

Narrative text is a type of text in English to tell a story that has a series of connected chronological events. The purpose of this text is to entertain the reader about a story or stories. Narrative text can be imaginary or factual

Narrative Text Features:

- Using Action Verbs in Past Tenses.

- Using certain nouns as personal pronouns.

- Using adjectives that form a noun phrase.

- Use conjunctions to order events.

Narrative text structure

- orientation

- complication

- resolution

- reorientation

Ok now let's get into my exam:

Practice 1:

The characters

Who are they? 

: their names is sura and baya

What are they like?

: sura is a shark an baya is a crocodille

 What words can use to describe them?

: they want to keep all things for themselves. In other word, they were greedy

The title 

What is the name of the story?

: the origin of surabaya

The setting

 Where will the story begin?

: a long time ago in east java

The action

What happens in the story as a result of the problem?

: sura and baya fought against each other and make a mess everywhere

The problem

What happens to the main character or among the animals?

: sura take the sea as his teritory and baya take the land as his teritory

The moral

What lesson do you want to teach?

: we as friends should be able to understand and help each other

1. Write the characters of the story, what are they like?

2. Do you think that they are best friends?

3. Where is the story taken place?

4. What was their agreement?

5. Did one of them feel satisfied? Why?

6. What was the ending of the story?

Answer:

1. Sura as a shark and baya as a crocodile. Both of them are enemy because both of them always fight for their " Food Land "

2. There are not best friends because they always fought 

3. It is take place in east java 

4. They agree to separate their territory. Baya live in the water and look for food in the sea. Sura live on the land and in the river, and look for food there 

5. Baya was very happy because he had his territory again after sura gave up 

6. The ending of the story is the place where they fought then named `surabaya` from sura the shark and baya the crocodile
